the Xie Zhiliu and Chen Peiqiu couple is another myth nowadays.
One is the most renowned painter, calligrapher and connoisseur,
and the other is the No. 1 of the Shanghai style painting amid the late 20th century.
As Xie was one of the few masters in Republic of China period, the passing away of his wife Chen Peiqiu marks the termination of their legend in the art history.
